Are there really giant rats the size of cats living in some parts of the United States?  Yes, it is true.  In fact, some of these giant rats are actually the size of small dogs.  The monster rat in the picture at the top of this article was killed by a maintenance worker at a housing project in Brooklyn, New York.  The rat was measured to be more than 3 feet long and the maintenance worker killed it by spearing it with a pitchfork.  Could you imagine a rat of that size crawling around in your basement?  Unfortunately, reports of giant rats the size of cats are becoming increasingly common and they are coming in from all over the world.  So where are all of these giant rats coming from?  Well, many believe that these are actually Gambian pouched rats.  Before they were banned, a lot of people would import them into the United States as pets.  Others believe that there are other explanations for the origin of these bizarre rodents.  Wherever they are coming from, they sure are creepy and they appear to be spreading. A 15 inch long human finger has been found in Egypt and pictures of it are being released for the very first time.  BILD.de broke this story, and it is spreading like fire all over the Internet.  According to BILD.de, the pictures of this finger were taken by a researcher named Gregor Spörri in Egypt in 1988.  The mummified finger would be considered to be human except for the fact that it is way, way too large to have come from a human hand.  As mentioned earlier, the giant finger is 15 inches long.  It is projected that the person that this finger came from would have been more than 16 feet tall!  You can see more pictures of this amazing find on BILD.de.  As you can tell from the picture above, the fingernail is clearly visible.  This truly is a remarkable specimen.  So is this really a finger of a giant that once lived in Egypt? A mummy was recently found in Peru that simply does not fit in with the version of history that we have all been taught. Scientists believe that the mummy was a child less than two years old when it died, but there are many things about the mummy that are definitely not human. Do you know how to handle giant Canadian gray wolves?  If not, you might want to think twice before moving to rural areas of Idaho, western Montana and western Wyoming.  Back in 1995, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service introduced 35 Canadian gray wolves into central Idaho and the Yellowstone area of Wyoming.  Since then these gray wolves have multiplied and are now roaming in huge packs.  As you can see from the picture, these Canadian gray wolves grow to enormous size.  Unlike the smaller wolves that are native to the area, these giant wolves travel in huge packs.  They have been ravaging farm animals all over the region and they have been attacking humans with increasing frequency.  A single one of these giant wolves can weigh up to 180 pounds.  It is estimated that there are now up to 2000 of these giant wolves roaming the region and they are constantly breeding.  Packs of up to 20 have been spotted.  We now have a very real giant wolf epidemic.  If you see one of these creatures do not approach it. What is up with all of the bizarre creatures that have been washing up on beaches all over the world?  We all remember the "Montauk Monster" which became so famous so quickly.  Since then there have been a number of other unexplained sightings of weird creatures.  These sightings are quickly becoming one of the great unexplained mysteries of the world.  The latest bizarre creature to make global headlines comes to us from Canada.  In Ontario, Canada there is a town called Kitchenuhmaykoosib (yes, that is the real name of the town) a few hundred kilometers south of the Hudson Bay.  A couple of local nurses were hiking near a creek when they found that their dog Sam smelled something in the water.  The dog went over and pulled the creature (it was only about 30 centimeters long) from the water and the two nurses were able to take some pictures of it.  Later, when local residents of the area decided to go back and retrieve the body of this creature, it had disappeared. The Canadian government is on the verge of approving the introduction of extremely bizarre genetically modified pigs into the Canadian food supply.  These new mouse/pig hybrids have been dubbed "enviropigs" and are being touted as being much better for the environment.  This new "breed" of Yorkshire pigs was created by scientists in Ontario at the University of Guelph, who spliced in genes from mice to decrease the amount of phosphorus produced in the pigs' excrement.  So soon millions of Canadians will be eating meat from mouse/pig hybrid creatures and most of them will not even realize it.  It is expected that approval for this new "brand" of pigs will be sought in the United States as well.  But this is hardly the first time that scientists have mixed two kinds of animals together in an attempt to create creatures that will be beneficial for humanity.    (Read More.....)

A while back, an alleged photo of a 100 foot snake in a river in Borneo created quite a stir.  It was claimed that the picture to the left was taken by a member of a disaster relief team that was monitoring flood conditions in the Baleh River in Borneo by helicopter.  The problem is that it is just so easy to fake just about anything these days that we will probably never know if this photo is actually genuine or not.  As we have seen in so many cases in the past, people are so willing to lie just to gain a little notoriety.  But that certainly does not mean that this photo is not real.  It just means that it cannot be confirmed.  If this photograph is genuine, then it is absolutely extraordinary.  The truth is that snakes can still get really, really big in some areas of the world.   (Read More.....)

After all of this time, there is still no answer to the mystery of the Montauk Monster.  On July 12th, 2008 a very bizarre creature washed ashore on a beach near the Montauk, New York business district.  This incredibly strange creature was  photographed by a 26 year old woman named Jenna Hewitt who lives in the Montauk area.  The creature was apparently already dead at the time.  However, when people went back to look for the creature later it was gone.  (Read More.....)

One of the great mysteries in the world today is why so many freakishly bizarre creatures are being born to animals around the globe.  For example, last year an incredibly bizarre alien hybrid creature was born to a cow in Thailand.  It seems to have the head of a human, the limbs and tail of a cow and yet the color of a grey alien.  So what in the world is it, and why was it born to a cow?  Nobody seems to know.  But what is certain is that something is just not right with that creature.  Unfortunately the creature did not live or much more could have been potentially learned about it.  Could normal birth defects have produced such a bizarre creature?  That certainly seems unlikely.  So what happened?  At this point it is still a mystery.  (Read More.....)
