A 15 inch long human finger has been found in Egypt and pictures of it are being released for the very first time.  BILD.de broke this story, and it is spreading like fire all over the Internet.  According to BILD.de, the pictures of this finger were taken by a researcher named Gregor Spörri in Egypt in 1988.  The mummified finger would be considered to be human except for the fact that it is way, way too large to have come from a human hand.  As mentioned earlier, the giant finger is 15 inches long.  It is projected that the person that this finger came from would have been more than 16 feet tall!  You can see more pictures of this amazing find on BILD.de.  As you can tell from the picture above, the fingernail is clearly visible.  This truly is a remarkable specimen.  So is this really a finger of a giant that once lived in Egypt? Scientists believe that the mummy was a child less than two years old when it died, but there are many things about the mummy that are definitely not human. Some lucky people living in southern Russia got to experience something very unusual the other day - purple snow. Yes, you read that correctly. Purple snow. Russian scientists who have analyzed it believe that the unusual colored snow is the result a massive dust cyclone from Africa entering the upper atmosphere and then mixing with snow clouds over Russia. Or something like that.  In any event, the scientists say that the snow is perfectly safe but they do not recommend eating the purple snow.  Do people in Russia regularly do that?  Perhaps with all of the purple snow some Russians might get confused and think that it is raining ice cream.  In any event, this is truly one of the most unusual weather events that we have seen in the world lately.  Russian scientists may think that they know what caused the purple snow, but as for us, we still plan to label it as one of the world's great unexplained mysteries. During the course of their drilling, the team discovered an absolutely gigantic underground cavern that was filled with gas. The team of geologists reportedly decided to ignite the entrance so that no poisonous gas could escape from the hole. Since then, the hole has burned for 35 years straight without stopping. The truth is that nobody really knows how many tons of gas have been burned over the course of 35 years or how much gas is left to be burned.
