Is there an extraterrestrial structure on the far side of the moon? That is the controversial question that many are now asking. This website, Mysteries Of The World, does not claim to have all the answers. But we are not afraid to ask the hard questions. The video posted below, if true, is quite shocking. But as always, we must temper our enthusiasm with the reality that it is just so easy to fake things these days. There are a whole lot of rumors and claims about the far side of the moon, but it just seems to difficult to substantiate them. With that being said, the video below is definitely eyebrow raising. If there is evidence of extraterrestrial architecture on the far side of the moon that would have huge implications for the history of the solar system.

It contains pictures of the far side of the Moon around the rim of the Zeeman Crater. Pictures from the 1960s taken by the Lunar Orbiter Program are compared to pictures from today.

The pictures from the 1960s appear to show a very unusual structure on the far side of the Moon, but the pictures from today show no trace of it.

So exactly what is going on here?

Is this evidence of a coverup?

Is the discrepancy the result of a technical glitch?

Is someone hoaxing us?

All of a sudden, volcanoes all over the globe have been violently erupting.  In fact, some volcanoes that have been dormant for generations have been springing to life.  So what are we to make of all this?  The truth is that nobody knows for certain why so many volcanoes are suddenly so active.  Could the dramatic increase in volcano eruptions be happening because we are getting closer to 2012?  It is very hard to say.  The truth is that what is going to happen in 2012 is one of the greatest unexplained mysteries of the world.  Fortunately, we only have a couple years to wait until we find out what 2012 is going to hold for us.  Meanwhile, those who are projecting massive earth changes in the year 2012 are pointing to these volcano eruptions as indications that we had better get prepared.  Many believe that as we pass through the galactic plane in 2012 that we will see earth changes that are absolutely unprecedented.  There are even many that believe that the earth will experience a catastrophic pole shift in the year 2012. 

Others point to the dramatic increase in volcano eruptions and earthquakes as a sign that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled.  In Matthew 24:7-8, it tells us this about the last days....

"Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains."

Well, the truth is that whatever you believe there is no denying that the level of volcanic activity that we are experiencing right now is absolutely stunning....

*The eruption of Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano made headlines all over the globe, and it caused cancellations of thousands of flights in Europe because of the giant ash cloud that it produced.

*Scientists are warning that a second, much larger volcano in Iceland named Katla is showing signs that it may be about to erupt.

*A volcano known as Tungurahua (The "Throat of Fire") came to life last Friday morning, 130 kilometres southeast of Ecuador's capital, Quito, and exploded continuously through the night.

*Guatemala's Pacaya volcano, 50 kilometres south of Guatemala City, began erupting on Thursday afternoon.

*U.S. officials said on Monday that the rapid eruption of an underwater volcano in the Pacific Ocean has exhaled a steam and ash cloud in the air and left a trail of debris on the surface of the water near Sarigan Island in the Northern Mariana Islands.

*Costa Rica's Arenal volcano erupted recently, spewing geysers of lava, ash and toxic gases from its crater and forcing the evacuation of the national park where it is located.

*But it just isn't volcano eruptions that are increasing.  We all know about the horrific earthquakes that happened in Haiti and Chile, and it is being reported that earthquakes are up 151 percent in 2010. 

The reality is that we are seeing earth changes that are absolutely unprecedented in our lifetimes.

As we get closer to 2012 will these earth changes become even more dramatic?

Hopefully that is not the case, but there is no denying that the earth is starting to tremble.

So let us hope for the best and prepare for the worst.  If all of this shaking keeps happening we could be headed into some very interesting times indeed.

What is up with all of the bizarre creatures that have been washing up on beaches all over the world?  We all remember the "Montauk Monster" which became so famous so quickly.  Since then there have been a number of other unexplained sightings of weird creatures.  These sightings are quickly becoming one of the great unexplained mysteries of the world.  The latest bizarre creature to make global headlines comes to us from Canada.  In Ontario, Canada there is a town called Kitchenuhmaykoosib (yes, that is the real name of the town) a few hundred kilometers south of the Hudson Bay.  A couple of local nurses were hiking near a creek when they found that their dog Sam smelled something in the water.  The dog went over and pulled the creature (it was only about 30 centimeters long) from the water and the two nurses were able to take some pictures of it.  Later, when local residents of the area decided to go back and retrieve the body of this creature, it had disappeared.

Of course it is very frustrating for those of us trying to solve these unexplained mysteries that the bodies of these creatures seem to disappear so often.  But the truth is that is what happens to dead animal bodies in the wild.  Predators come and drag them away and have a meal.  This would be especially true in remote areas such as where Kitchenuhmaykoosib is located.

So what did this creature look like?

Well, experts say that the body of the creature is somewhat similar to an otter, while the face, complete with long fang-like teeth, could possibly be from a boar.

Some members of the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Indian tribe believe that they know what it is.  They believe that it is a mythical creature that their elders used to tell them about....

"The elders used to see it a long time ago... No one has seen one for 40 years or so. The elders have a word for it: oomajinakoos. In English, it means ‘the ugly one."

Well, whatever it is, it sure is weird.

So what do you think that it is?

It is simply a decomposing animal?

Is it an example of genetic modification gone wrong?

One of the greatest unexplained mysteries of the world is why the major governments around the globe just will not come out and openly disclose what they know about UFOs. For decades it has seemed as though governments all around the world have been desperate to keep a lid on this thing, although a vast array of public officials have made comments on their own.  So how much longer can this charade last?  How many thousands of UFO sightings are needed before people admit that there is something going on out there.  Why all the fear and secrecy?  Many UFO enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the day when "official disclosure" will come.  As if the governments of the world announcing that UFOs are real and that they have been in contact with aliens will somehow validate what they have believed all this time.  But "official disclosure" will not make UFOs any more real.  They clearly do exist.  They clearly are out there.  But for some people they will not be completely real until they get that "official disclosure" from government.

Once upon a time, the only people who seemed to be talking about life on Mars, predicting the future and time travel were science fiction fanatics and the mentally unstable.  But today, our top scientists are actually telling us that all of these things are real.  Things that once appeared to be great unexplained mysteries are seemingly opening up to the world of science.  Or maybe our top scientists are becoming mentally unstable.  One way or the other, things that were once forbidden to talk about in the scientific community are becoming headline news.  In fact some of the top scientists of the world are saying things that are literally mind blowing.  Just consider some of the things that our top scientists have been telling us lately.... 

*NASA scientists recently declared that Mars "once was, and maybe still is, home to life".  Of course the "life" they are talking about is not little green men, but this is still a stunning development.

*Google has invested in a startup company that claims to be able to predict the future.  Perhaps they could send some stock tips our way if they are feeling extra generous.

*Famed scientist Stephen Hawking actually believes that the Large Hadron Collider could potentially be used to build a time machine.  In fact, Hawking claims that humans might one day be able to use time travel to skip generations into the future.

Would you actually want to see how your great, great, great, great grandchildren turned out?

It is interesting to think about at least.

Is the U.S. government covering up evidence that the ancient Egyptians once traveled as far as the Grand Canyon?  As far-fetched as that may seem, there is some evidence that suggest that may be exactly what is happening.  On April 5th, 1909, a front page story in the Arizona Gazette reported that a team of explorers had made absolutely mind blowing archaeological discoveries in the heart of the Grand Canyon.  The team was apparently funded by the Smithsonian Institute, and the article mentions structures and hieroglyphics that the team found which were described as being "Egyptian" in nature. Unfortunately, after this initial news report there were never any other reports about this extraordinary discovery. So did this discovery really happen?  Is it being covered up?  Is there evidence sitting in caverns near the Grand Canyon that would change everything that we believe about North American history?

Those are some hard questions, and unfortunately we do not have any solid answers.  All we have is the April 5th, 1909 article from the Arizona Gazette.  The text from this article is posted below....

Mysteries of Immense Rich Cavern being brought to light

Remarkable finds indicate ancient people migrated from Orient

The latest news of the progress of the explorations of what is now regarded by scientists as not only the oldest archaeological discovery in the United States, but one of the most valuable in the world, which was mentioned some time ago in the Gazette, was brought to the city yesterday by G.E. Kinkaid, the explorer who found the great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip from Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado, in a wooden boat, to Yuma, several months ago.

According to the story related to the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the archaeologists of the Smithsonian Institute, which is financing the expeditions, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human hands, was of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt, tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out by the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile, and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the fictionist.

A Thorough Examination

Under the direction of Prof. S. A. Jordan, the Smithsonian Institute is now prosecuting the most thorough explorations, which will be continued until the last link in the chain is forged. Nearly a mile underground, about 1480 feet below the surface, the long main passage has been delved into, to find another mammoth chamber from which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes of a wheel.

Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854 feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles which have never been known as native to this country, and doubtless they had their origin in the orient. War weapons, copper instruments, sharp-edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased to thirty or forty persons.

Mr. Kinkaid's Report

Mr. Kinkaid was the first white child born in Idaho and has been an explorer and hunter all his life, thirty years having been in the service of the Smithsonian Institute. Even briefly recounted, his history sounds fabulous, almost grotesque.

"First, I would impress that the cavern is nearly inaccessible. The entrance is 1,486 feet down the sheer canyon wall. It is located on government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty of trespass. The scientists wish to work unmolested, without fear of archaeological discoveries being disturbed by curio or relic hunters. A trip there would be fruitless, and the visitor would be sent on his way. The story of how I found the cavern has been related, but in a paragraph: I was journeying down the Colorado river in a boat, alone, looking for mineral. Some forty-two miles up the river from the El Tovar Crystal canyon, I saw on the east wall, stains in the sedimentary formation about 2,000 feet above the river bed. There was no trail to this point, but I finally reached it with great difficulty.
Above a shelf which hid it from view from the river, was the mouth of the cave. There are steps leading from this entrance some thirty yards to what was, at the time the cavern was inhabited, the level of the river. When I saw the chisel marks on the wall inside the entrance, I became interested, securing my gun and went in. During that trip I went back several hundred feet along the main passage till I came to the crypt in which I discovered the mummies. One of these I stood up and photographed by flashlight. I gathered a number of relics, which I carried down the Colorado to Yuma, from whence I shipped them to Washington with details of the discovery. Following this, the explorations were undertaken.

The Passages

"The main passageway is about 12 feet wide, narrowing to nine feet toward the farther end. About 57 feet from the entrance, the first side-passages branch off to the right and left, along which, on both sides, are a number of rooms about the size of ordinary living rooms of today, though some are 30 by 40 feet square. These are entered by oval-shaped doors and are ventilated by round air spaces through the walls into the passages. The walls are about three feet six inches in thickness.

The passages are chiselled or hewn as straight as could be laid out by an engineer. The ceilings of many of the rooms converge to a center. The side-passages near the entrance run at a sharp angle from the main hall, but toward the rear they gradually reach a right angle in direction.

The Shrine

"Over a hundred feet from the entrance is the cross-hall, several hundred feet long, in which are found the idol, or image, of the people's god, sitting cross-legged, with a lotus flower or lily in each hand. The cast of the face is oriental, and the carving this cavern. The idol almost resembles Buddha, though the scientists are not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that this worship most resembles the ancient people of Tibet.

Surrounding this idol are smaller images, some very beautiful in form; others crooked-necked and distorted shapes, symbolical, probably, of good and evil. There are two large cactus with protruding arms, one on each side of the dais on which the god squats. All this is carved out of hard rock resembling marble. In the opposite corner of this cross-hall were found tools of all descriptions, made of copper. These people undoubtedly knew the lost art of hardening this metal, which has been sought by chemicals for centuries without result. On a bench running around the workroom was some charcoal and other material probably used in the process. There is also slag and stuff similar to matte, showing that these ancients smelted ores, but so far no trace of where or how this was done has been discovered, nor the origin of the ore.

"Among the other finds are vases or urns and cups of copper and gold, made very artistic in design. The pottery work includes enamelled ware and glazed vessels. Another passageway leads to granaries such as are found in the oriental temples. They contain seeds of various kinds. One very large storehouse has not yet been entered, as it is twelve feet high and can be reached only from above. Two copper hooks extend on the edge, which indicates that some sort of ladder was attached. These granaries are rounded, as the materials of which they are constructed, I think, is a very hard cement. A gray metal is also found in this cavern, which puzzles the scientists, for its identity has not been established. It resembles platinum. Strewn promiscuously over the floor everywhere are what people call "cats eyes”, a yellow stone of no great value. Each one is engraved with the head of the Malay type.

The Hieroglyphics

"On all the urns, or walls over doorways, and tablets of stone which were found by the image are the mysterious hieroglyphics, the key to which the Smithsonian Institute hopes yet to discover. The engraving on the tables probably has something to do with the religion of the people. Similar hieroglyphics have been found in southern Arizona. Among the pictorial writings, only two animals are found. One is of prehistoric type.

The Crypt

"The tomb or crypt in which the mummies were found is one of the largest of the chambers, the walls slanting back at an angle of about 35 degrees. On these are tiers of mummies, each one occupying a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench, on which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords. Some of the mummies are covered with clay, and all are wrapped in a bark fabric.

The urns or cups on the lower tiers are crude, while as the higher shelves are reached, the urns are finer in design, showing a later stage of civilization. It is worthy of note that all the mummies examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being buried here. This leads to the belief that this exterior section was the warriors' barracks.

"Among the discoveries no bones of animals have been found, no skins, no clothing, no bedding. Many of the rooms are bare but for water vessels. One room, about 40 by 700 feet, was probably the main dining hall, for cooking utensils are found here. What these people lived on is a problem, though it is presumed that they came south in the winter and farmed in the valleys, going back north in the summer.

Upwards of 50,000 people could have lived in the caverns comfortably. One theory is that the present Indian tribes found in Arizona are descendants of the serfs or slaves of the people which inhabited the cave. Undoubtedly a good many thousands of years before the Christian era, a people lived here which reached a high stage of civilization. The chronology of human history is full of gaps. Professor Jordan is much enthused over the discoveries and believes that the find will prove of incalculable value in archaeological work.

"One thing I have not spoken of, may be of interest. There is one chamber of the passageway to which is not ventilated, and when we approached it a deadly, snaky smell struck us. Our light would not penetrate the gloom, and until stronger ones are available we will not know what the chamber contains. Some say snakes, but other boo-hoo this idea and think it may contain a deadly gas or chemicals used by the ancients. No sounds are heard, but it smells snaky just the same. The whole underground installation gives one of shaky nerves the creeps. The gloom is like a weight on one's shoulders, and our flashlights and candles only make the darkness blacker. Imagination can revel in conjectures and ungodly daydreams back through the ages that have elapsed till the mind reels dizzily in space.”

What in the world was flying around in the ash cloud above Iceland's erupting volcano?  On April 18th, 2010 a formation of flying objects was captured on video hovering above Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano as it was erupting.  So what in the world were those flying objects?  Were they "birds" as many in the mainstream media are reporting?  Were they UFOs?  Will this be yet another of the unsolved and unexplained mysteries that we don't have answers for?  Whatever the objects were, they obviously possessed intelligence as they were flying very deliberately in a "V-shaped" formation.  Unfortunately, we may never get the answers to the questions that we are asking.  But doesn't it seem interesting that flying objects that look like UFOs keep showing up at so many important earth change events?

Archaeologists in Egypt are excavating the first stretch of a two-mile avenue lined with hundreds of carved sphinxes.  Reportedly, this "Avenue of the Sphinxes" was built more than 3,000 years ago.  It linked two giant temples together, and some scholars believe that it was only used once a year for a very significant religious procession.  But to be honest, so much about ancient Egypt remains a complete mystery.  The truth is that we know very little about what motivated the people of that time.  But now tourists will be able to visit the first part of this excavation within just a few weeks.  However, the remainder of the project will remain off limits to the public for now.  Eventually the remaining portion of the project that still needs to be excavated - 75 yards wide and flanked originally by an estimated 1,350 sphinxes, will be opened to the public in the next few years.

So why did the Egyptians build this Avenue of the Sphinxes?  Where did they come up with the idea for Sphinxes in the first place?  Well, just like so many questions surrounding the ancient pyramids, these questions don't have any solid answers.  But just because we don't have the answers doesn't mean we can't ask questions.  The more we discover about ancient Egypt the more fascinating it becomes.  In fact, it is really hard to talk about "the greatest mysteries of the ancient world" without including ancient Egypt.  If you ever find yourself in Egypt, make sure to go check out the Avenue of the Sphinxes.  They say that it is absolutely jaw dropping.

Some lucky people living in southern Russia got to experience something very unusual the other day - purple snow. Yes, you read that correctly. Purple snow. Russian scientists who have analyzed it believe that the unusual colored snow is the result a massive dust cyclone from Africa entering the upper atmosphere and then mixing with snow clouds over Russia. Or something like that.  In any event, the scientists say that the snow is perfectly safe but they do not recommend eating the purple snow.  Do people in Russia regularly do that?  Perhaps with all of the purple snow some Russians might get confused and think that it is raining ice cream.  In any event, this is truly one of the most unusual weather events that we have seen in the world lately.  Russian scientists may think that they know what caused the purple snow, but as for us, we still plan to label it as one of the world's great unexplained mysteries.

The Canadian government is on the verge of approving the introduction of extremely bizarre genetically modified pigs into the Canadian food supply.  These new mouse/pig hybrids have been dubbed "enviropigs" and are being touted as being much better for the environment.  This new "breed" of Yorkshire pigs was created by scientists in Ontario at the University of Guelph, who spliced in genes from mice to decrease the amount of phosphorus produced in the pigs' excrement.  So soon millions of Canadians will be eating meat from mouse/pig hybrid creatures and most of them will not even realize it.  It is expected that approval for this new "brand" of pigs will be sought in the United States as well.  But this is hardly the first time that scientists have mixed two kinds of animals together in an attempt to create creatures that will be beneficial for humanity.   

The truth is that scientists around the world are now creating bizarre hybrid "animals" on a regular basis.  Over the past couple of decades the field of genetic modification has made extraordinary advances, and now researchers and scientists seem very eager to exploit these new technologies.

So what kind of weird, mysterious creatures have scientists been creating? 

Well, what would you think of a cat that glows in the dark?

They really exist.

A genetically modified cat named Mr. Green Genes was the very first fluorescent cat created in the United States.  Under an ultraviolet light, Mr. Green Genes puts off a very strange bright green glow.

So perhaps in the future not only can your cat cuddle up to you and keep you warm - it could also serve as a night light.

But U.S. researchers were not even the first ones to do this to cats.  A team of scientists in South Korea had previously created a cat that glows red under ultraviolet light.

Now why in the world would scientists do this kind of a thing?

Well, because they can.

But scientists have created creatures that are even more bizarre than fluorescent cats.

One Canadian company is actually producing spider goats.

Yes, it is true.  A Canadian company known as Nexia has created goats that are genetically modified to be part spider.

The reason for this bizarre genetic modification is to get goats that will produce spider silk protein in their milk.  This spider silk protein is then collected, purified and spun into incredibly strong fibers.

Reportedly, the fibers that are produced are more durable than Kevlar, more flexible than nylon, and stronger than steel.

This substance has industrial and military applications that are apparently extremely valuable.

But when you tell most people that spider goats exist they will just laugh at you.

If that is the response that you get when you tell someone about spider goats, just show them the following video.

The YouTube video posted below contains a television news report that discusses how these spider goats are created and what this company is doing with the spider silk that these spider goats are producing....

So does all of this tampering with the environment disturb you?

After all, at least scientists are not creating human/animal hybrid creatures, right?

Wrong.

The truth is that human/pig hybrid creatures will soon be legally grown inside of the United States.

This is being publicly announced and almost nobody is getting upset about it.

What is being described as a "cutting edge" new program will actually produce pigs with human genes in them.  These hybrid pigs will be "grown" in order to produce organs for transplants into humans.

Does this bother you?

Perhaps it would bother you more if you knew exactly where these pigs are to be grown.

In Missouri.

That's right - human/pig hybrids are going to be raised right in the middle of the United States.

So is it possible that such creatures could end up in our food supply?

No?

You don't think they would ever do that to us?

Don't be so sure.

The FDA has already announced that the offspring of cloned animals could be in our food supply right now and that there is nothing that they can do about it.

Of course they have plenty of time to conduct military style raids of Amish farmers, but apparently they have no time to figure out if our food supply is tainted by cloned animals.

Yes, this is really happening.

In fact, the FDA has said that it is basically a non-issue to them.

Of course most Americans eat tomatoes with roach genes in them and most Americans eat corn with insecticide grown inside of it on a regular basis, so why should we get upset about what is in our meat?

So does any of this seem incredibly evil to you?

It should.

That is because all of this is incredibly evil.

Creating bizarre hybrid creatures is not a new thing.

Did you know that the 3000 year old book of Jasher (a book of ancient history that is quoted in the Biblical books of Joshua and II Samuel) speaks of genetic engineering that was going on in the days of Noah?

It is true.  How they did it remains a great unexplained mystery, but according to ancient sources this is apparently what was going on.

Jasher 4:18 tells us this....

"and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord"

According to the book of Jasher, God was not pleased at all that they were corrupting the wonderful environment that He had created for all of us.

This mixing of animals is also reflected in the ancient book of Enoch.  The book of Enoch is directly quoted by the book of Jude in the New Testament, and it tells us a great deal about what was going on in the world before the Flood.  Enoch 7:14 tells us this....

And they began to sin against birds, beasts, reptiles, and fish, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood.

So apparently they were not only mixing animals together - they were eating them too.

Just like we are starting to do.

But instead of learning the lessons of the past we are making the same mistakes.

We think that we are so "technologically advanced", but the reality is that we are just indulging in the same foolishness as they did in the ancient world.

So what is so wrong with genetic modification?

The truth is that once you let the genie out of the bottle you can't put it back in.

We have found that out with genetically modified crops.  Natural strains can literally be bred into extinction once strains of genetically modified crops become widespread enough. 

We may think that we are improving the environment through our reckless experimentation, but what if our best efforts go horribly, horribly wrong?

The unintended consequences of our reckless genetic meddling may be far worse than any of us ever imagined.

The reality is that God said not to mix plants and animals together like this.

But we are doing it anyway.

Hopefully we are not completely destroying the one and only earth that we have in the process.

Do UFOs and aliens exist? According to some of the most famous people in American history they do. Presidents, prominent politicians, top ranking military officers and leading astronauts have all come right out and said that UFOs exist and that the U.S. government knows about it. So why is there still such secrecy about UFOs? Is there not such a large body of evidence for the existence of UFOs at this point that it is pretty much obvious to everyone by now? Can you imagine surviving for 27 days without food buried under a massive pile of rubble?  It is simply mind-boggling.  One of the greatest unsolved mysteries of this past week was how a 28-year-old man named Evan Muncie was able to be pulled alive from the rubble of a marketplace in Port-au-Prince nearly a month after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  So how in the world could someone go that long without food and water?  Well, Muncie said that he was only able to survive because somebody in a white coat had occasionally brought him water while he was pinned down. 

Some in a "white coat"?

An angel perhaps?

Certainly nobody human could have brought him water while he was pinned down under the rubble.

Of course the mainstream media reports are quick to dismiss Muncie's account, claiming that he is "confused" or that he was "hallucinating". 

But how else could he have survived for that long without any water?

According to his doctor, Muncie had some wounds that needed treatment, but otherwise he was in good shape....

"He was emaciated. He hadn't had anything in quite some time. He had open wounds that were festering on both of his feet."

But other than that there were no major injuries, so it seems likely that Muncie will make a full recovery.

Thanks to the mystery benefactor in the white coat.

The goal of these drugs, prosthetics and exoskeletons would be to give soldiers "superhuman" abilities that they would not otherwise possess.  For example, the ability to effortlessly carry a very heavy weapon into battle would be a significant advantage on the battlefield.

Some of these exoskeletons are absolutely amazing.  Just check out the following video news report which contains footage of a soldier demonstrating a prototype of an exoskeleton.....

But will these changes go too far?  In the pursuit of creating "ultimate killing machines", will we create monsters who show no hesitation and no remorse when killing other humans?  Will we create beings that are half human/half machine that have no place in society once their battlefield careers are over?

The future is going to be a very strange place, there is for certain.  Let us hope that our military leaders think things out very clearly before implementing these ideas.  Sometimes changes that are thought to be "good" can have very bad, and very unintended, consequences.

What in the world is going on?  One of the great mysteries in the world today is all of the animals that are being born with seemingly human (or alien) features.  A recent example of this phenomenon has grabbed headlines all over the globe.  In a remote village in Turkey, a sheep recently gave birth to a dead lamb that appeared to have a human face.

The calf was reportedly born in a village not far from the city of Izmir, Turkey.  It was delivered by Cesarean section by a vet named Erhan Elibol.

The following is what Mr. Elibol is reported to have said about this creature....

"I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal."

So just what in the world is going on here?

Without a doubt it is hard to look at the picture above without staring at it.

Is this an example of humans mixing with sheep?

Or could something even more weird be involved?

Could aliens have had something to do with this?

Of course authorities are trying to insist that this was a perfectly natural mutation and that there is nothing to be concerned about.

Are you willing to buy that?

We aren't.

Something really weird is going on here.

A lamb born with a human face does not come along every day.

Nor do they happen by accident.

Do you remember the Hollywood blockbuster "Armageddon" in which Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck were sent to knock a massive asteroid off course before it could collide with the earth? Well, it turns out that is almost exactly what the head of Russia's space agency, Anatoly Perminov, want to do with the massive asteroid known as Apophis. Perminov says that he wants Russia to send a specially designed spacecraft to knock the large Apophis asteroid off a potential collision course with Earth. Not implementing a plan while we still have time will be absolutely disastrous for humanity according to Perminov. In fact, Perminov says that he is convinced that the 885-foot-wide asteroid "will surely collide with the Earth in the 2030s".

Perminov envisions that NASA, the European space agency and the Chinese space agency will all work together to eliminate the threat that Apophis poses.

Apophis was first discovered in 2004, and it is known that the asteroid will make a very close pass to earth in 2029, but astronomers do not believe that the asteroid has any chance of hitting the earth at that time.

However, Apophis is scheduled to come much closer to the earth in 2036, and there is significant debate among astronomers and scientists as to whether Apophis has a good chance to striking the earth at that time. 

Perminov, for one, is totally convinced that Apophis represents a threat that needs to be addressed now....

"People's lives are at stake. We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people."

However, Perminov believes that humanity does have the ability to avoid this future catastrophe if they will work together.

"Calculations show that it's possible to create a special purpose spacecraft within the time we have," the New York Daily News quotes Perminov as saying. "The threat of collision can be averted."

In fact, Perminov is not the only one who is concerned about Apophis.

In July 2008, U.S. Representative Mark Udall directed NASA to track Apophis and to develop its own plan to protect the earth from this threat.

NASA has estimated that if Apophis did indeed hit the Earth, it could potentially cause a massive explosion (or churn up a huge tsunami) that could possibly kill millions of people.

Some are even wondering if Apophis or another asteroid just like it is mentioned in the book of Revelation in the Bible.

In Revelation 8:8, it says this....

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea.

A huge blazing mountain thrown into the sea?

How else would someone describe an asteroid 2000 years ago?

Not that we or anyone else is saying that Revelation 8:8 is definitely referring to Apophis.

It is just very interesting to note.

The truth is that in the end times there are going to be extraordinary things happening in the heavens.

In fact, in Luke 21:25, Jesus told us this....

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

So will Apophis be a sign in the heavens?

Perhaps it is way too early to determine that.

But the fact that authorities around the globe are already so concerned about it is quite telling.

The truth is that we are moving into the most chaotic and yet most extraordinary time in all of human history.  It is certainly going to be an interesting ride.

There is place in Uzbekistan that is known by locals as "The Door to Hell". It is located outside of the small town of Darvaz. It is literally a massive pit that has been burning night and day for the past 35 years. So where did it come from? Well, 35 years ago, a team of geologists was drilling for gas. During the course of their drilling, the team discovered an absolutely gigantic underground cavern that was filled with gas. The team of geologists reportedly decided to ignite the entrance so that no poisonous gas could escape from the hole. Since then, the hole has burned for 35 years straight without stopping. The truth is that nobody really knows how many tons of gas have been burned over the course of 35 years or how much gas is left to be burned. It just keeps burning and burning and burning and burning.

The reality is that this hole is really creepy and it is easy to see why it is called the door to hell. Just check out this video....

Do UFOs actually exist?  That is a question that has been hotly debated all over the world for decades.  But as reports of UFO sightings continue to pour in all over the globe, the nature of the debate is changing.  Rather than asking whether or not UFOs exist, an increasing number of people are wondering who is piloting them, where they are from and what it is that they want.  So much solid evidence has come in from so many diverse sources all over the globe that it is getting really hard to deny that something is going on.  So just what is going on?  Do the creatures piloting these crafts have noble intentions?  Why won't they just reveal themselves openly?  Will they be making open contact with humanity during our lifetimes?  What would that mean for humanity if they did?

There are a lot of questions that we just don't have answers for right now.

But these kinds of questions are increasingly being asked by the mainstream media.       

For example, Larry King Live has not been shy about discussing UFOs.  In the video posted below, you can actually see Larry King and a guest discuss footgate of a UFO shooting some sort of a light beam at a U.S. military missile test....

In fact, CNN seems quite comfortable reporting on the UFO phenomenon now.  Check out this report by CNN about the UFO sightings in Stephensville, Texas a while back....

But UFOs are not just showing up in the United States.

They are literally showing up all over the world.

This next video contains footage of an alleged "shape shifting" UFO that was reportedly taken by a young child in Brazil.

The UFO appears to be in the shape of a jellyfish at the beginning of the video, and it appears to transform into the shape of an octopus by the end of the video....

This next video was reportedly filmed by a farmer working in his fields in Russia.  There are some researchers that are referring to the craft in this video as a "mothership"....

One of the most extraordinary UFO sightings of the past year came out of China.  During a solar eclipse on July 22nd, scientists at the Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing, China believe that they captured some of the most amazing UFO footage of all time.  The UFO in the video below was filmed for 40 minutes by the scientists and it was seen by several dozen Chinese students as well, and a number of them also photographed or filmed the UFO....

The truth is that this is just a very small sample of the UFO videos that are out there.  They are coming in from every corner of the globe and from a vast array of different people.  It is hard to label the UFO phenomenon as a hoax when there is so much evidence to the contrary.  Certainly not every video or reported UFO sighting checks out, but a whole lot of them do.  UFO sightings have been reported by airline pilots, military officers, scientists and many other highly respected individuals. 

Are they all lying?

Are they all imagining something?

Of course not.

Something is going on out there.

But until these UFOs decide to make open contact with humanity they will remain one of the great mysteries of the world.

As advanced as we like to think that we are, the truth is that ancient civilizations are still being discovered today.  Just recently, researchers believe that they have found two previously unknown ancient civilizations - one on the sea floor of the Caribbean and the other deep in the forests of the Amazon.  The reality is that as scientists and researchers make additional discoveries, it just underlines the fact that there is much more to the ancient history of the earth than we have been led to believe.  The sea floors and the dense jungles throughout the earth contains some amazing mysteries.  As researchers delve into these mysteries, they are often learning that ancient humanity was much more advanced than most people would think.

In particular, these latest finds have got researchers and scientists very excited.     

The very first photos from the Caribbean sea floor of what is believed to be the archaeological remains of an ancient civilization have been released.

The coordinates of the exact location are being guarded carefully for now, but the project’s leader insists that the large city found there could be thousands of years old.  He says that the city could possibly even pre-date the ancient Egyptian pyramids at Giza.

In fact, the leader of the project says that they have found what appears to be a tall, narrow pyramid.  That would be quite notable, as ancient pyramids have been discovered all over the globe in recent years.  It appears that civilizations all over the globe had a tendency towards building pyramidal structures even though they may have never had contact with one another.

It is also said that the team investigating the undersea city has also found large platform structures with small buildings on them.  They hope to have more findings to announce once they secure more funding.

A previously unknown ancient civilization has also recently been uncovered by deforestation in the Amazon.

According to one report, approximately 260 giant avenues, ditches and enclosures have been spotted from the air in a region straddling Brazil's border with Bolivia.

Denise Schaan of the Federal University of Pará in Belém, Brazil, is quoted by New Scientist as saying this following about the pace of discoveries in this region....

"Every week we find new structures."

Excavations in the area have unearthed ceramics, grinding stones and other signs of human habitation at some of the sites but not at others.

The thought is that some of the sites had purely ceremonial roles, while others may have had more common purposes.

Alex Chepstow-Lusty of the French Institute for Andean Studies in Lima, Peru is quoted by New Scientist as saying that researchers expect to find much more in the area....

"I have no doubt that this is only scratching the surface."

So what does all of this mean?

It means that there is a whole lot more out there that is still waiting to be discovered.

Much about the ancient world still remains a mystery, and the truth is that as we learn more about our past, more about our future will likely be revealed.

The mystery of the London Artifact always creates heated debates between creationists and Darwinists.  So what is it?  The London Artifact is an iron hammer that is surrounded by a solid mass of "cretaceous" rock. The handle of the hammer is made of wood and it is partially petrified. It was discovered in London, Texas.  In June 1936, Max and Emma Hahn were walking along Red Creek, near their home in London, Texas when they spotted a rock nodule with a piece of wood sticking out of it. Some time later their son George broke it open, and this revealed a metal hammer in the center of the rock nodule to which the wooden handle was attached.  The Hahns filed the hammer to see if it was really metal, and the spot that they filed has not rusted since that time, even though it is about fifty years later.  So what are we to make of this extraordinary fossil? 

Well, tests have shown that the hammer is actually iron.  The hammer contains 96% iron, 2.6% chlorine, and 0.74% sulfur. There are no bubbles in the metal of the hammer at all.

In fact, the quality of the iron equals or exceeds the quality of any iron found in the modern world.

Now how in the world is THAT possible?

The truth is that evolutionists and creationists will continue to fight about this artifact until Jesus comes back. 

But for those who choose to take an objective look at things, the reality is that this is a really extraordinary "out of place" fossil. 

Could this actually be a hammer from the world that existed before Noah's flood?

Nobody knows for certain.  It remains one of the world's great mysteries....

A while back, an alleged photo of a 100 foot snake in a river in Borneo created quite a stir.  It was claimed that the picture to the left was taken by a member of a disaster relief team that was monitoring flood conditions in the Baleh River in Borneo by helicopter.  The problem is that it is just so easy to fake just about anything these days that we will probably never know if this photo is actually genuine or not.  As we have seen in so many cases in the past, people are so willing to lie just to gain a little notoriety.  But that certainly does not mean that this photo is not real.  It just means that it cannot be confirmed.  If this photograph is genuine, then it is absolutely extraordinary.  The truth is that snakes can still get really, really big in some areas of the world.  

But 100 feet long?

That seems like a stretch.

But it could be true.

The ancient city of Baalbek is one of the greatest archaeological mysteries of all time. Located east of the Litani River in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, Baalbek is world famous for its exquisitely detailed yet monumentally scaled Roman temple ruins. In Roman times, Baalbek was known as Heliopolis (after the sun god) and it contained some of the largest and most notable Roman temples ever built. In fact, the Romans had constructed an extraordinary temple complex in Baalbek consisting of three separate temples - one for Jupiter, one for Bacchus and one for Venus. But what these Roman temples were built on top of is much more important. These Roman temples were actually built on top of an ancient 5 million square foot platform that was made from some of the largest stones ever used in any construction project in the history of the earth.  In fact, the largest stone found near the Baalbek ruins weighs approximately 1200 tons and is about 64 feet long.  To put that in perspective, that is the equivalent of approximately 156 full size African elephants. 

How people in ancient times were able to move such massive stones is a complete mystery.  In fact, these giant construction stones were stacked so closely together that you can't even fit a piece of paper between many of them.  Many of the architectural feats found at Baalbek cannot even be duplicated with 21st century technology. 

So how did they do it?

How did they move such massive stones to create a structure of such intricate precision?

Keep in mind that the base of the Baalbek ruins alone weighs approximately 5 billion tons.

The truth is that the ancient history of the earth contains a lot more mysteries than we were ever told about.

One theory about Baalbek is that it was originally created as a landing platform for spacecraft.  At least that is what the creator of the video below is postulating....

Another theory is that Baalbek was created by giants.  Remember Goliath?  It turns out that the ancient Middle East had quite a few giants running around.  The following video discusses Baalbek in the context of a discussion about those ancient giants....

Ancient Ebla was located in Northern Syria, approximately halfway between the modern cities of Hamath and Aleppo.  Excavations at that site began in the 1960s, and in the 1970s a series of extraordinary tablets was discovered among the ruins of an ancient palace.  These tablets became known as "The Ebla Tablets", and they were originally discovered under the direction of two professors from the University of Rome - Dr. Paolo Matthiae and Dr. Giovanni Petinato. At this point, about 17,000 tablets from the ancient Eblaite Kingdom have been recovered.  These tablets appear to have been written during the two last generations of ancient Ebla.  This means that they probably come from some time around 2300 to 2250 B.C.  But what is remarkable about the Ebla tablets is not how old they are, but rather the amazing parallels to the Bible that they contain.

For example, one scholar was very surprised at just how close much of the language on the tablets is to ancient Hebrew....

The vocabularies at Ebla were distinctively Semitic: the word "to write" is k-t-b (as in Hebrew), while that for "king" is "malikum," and that for "man" is "adamu." The closeness to Hebrew is surprising.

In addition, a vast array of Biblical names that have not been found in any other ancient Near Eastern languages have been reported to have been found in similar forms in Eblaite (one of the two languages found on the tablets).

For instance, the names of Adam, Eve, Abarama/Abraham, Bilhah, Ishmael, Esau, Mika-el, Saul and David have been found on the tablets.  Now, it is important to note that the tablets are not necessarily referring to those specific people.  Rather, what it does demonstrate is that those names were commonly used in ancient times.

In addition, quite a few ancient Biblical cities are also mentioned by name in the Ebla tablets.

For example, Ashtaroth, Sinai, Jerusalem, Hazor, Lachish, Megiddo, Gaza, Joppa, Ur, and Damascus are all reportedly referred to by name in the tablets.

Giovanni Pettinato says that he also found references to the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah in the tablets.  In fact, one key discovery appears to relate directly to Genesis chapter 14.  Some Bible skeptics have long tried to claim that the victory of Abraham over Chedorlaomer and the Mesopotamian kings in Genesis 14 was fictional and that the five "cities of the plain" (Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim and Zoar) referred to in that chapter are legendary.  But it turns out that the Ebla tablets refer to all five of the "cities of the plain", and on one tablet the cities are listed in the exact same order that we find in Genesis chapter 14.

Amazing.

But that is not all.

Even more extraordinary was the discovery of "a creation hymn" in the tablets.

In fact, three different versions of the Eblaite "creation hymn" were discovered. One of the creation hymns was translated by Pettinato as follows....

Lord of heaven and earth:
the earth was not, you created it,
the light of day was not, you created it,
the morning light you had not [yet] made exist.

This clearly parallels the Biblical account.  In the Bible we also find a "Lord of heaven and earth" who created the earth and everything around it out of nothing.

However, it is important to note that Ebla was primarily a pagan culture.  Pagan gods such as Dagan, Baal and Ishtar were very important to the people of that time.  But the truth is that these tablets do confirm quite a few historical details found in the Scriptures. 

There is probably much more to be discovered about the ancient Eblaite people, but in recent decades progress has been slowed by religious and political conflicts.  Perhaps we will never know for certain where the people of ancient Ebla came from, how much they actually knew of the true God of the Bible, or why their language had such similarities to Hebrew.

After all of this time, there is still no answer to the mystery of the Montauk Monster.  On July 12th, 2008 a very bizarre creature washed ashore on a beach near the Montauk, New York business district.  This incredibly strange creature was  photographed by a 26 year old woman named Jenna Hewitt who lives in the Montauk area.  The creature was apparently already dead at the time.  However, when people went back to look for the creature later it was gone. 

So what happened to it?

East Hampton animal control told the media that they did not cart it away and that they do not know what happened to the creature: "I can tell you we have nothing to do with it."

In fact, nobody knows what happened to it.

For that matter, nobody knows what it is.

Some have suggested that the Montauk Monter was just a dead dog.  Others insist that it was a raccoon.  Some have postulated that it could be a sea turtle or a rodent.

However, some conspiracy theorists have pointed out the weaknesses in all of those arguments and have suggested another possibility.

They have suggested that the Montauk Monster is the result of bizarre genetic experiments at the nearby Plum Island Animal Disease Center.

In any event, the Montauk Monster was never found again, so this will probably forever remain one of the great unsolved mysteries of modern times.

Why is Christmas celebrated on December 25th?  Most people assume that it has always been a Christian holiday and that it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus.  But it turns out that Jesus was not born on December 25th.  However, a whole bunch of pagan gods were born on that day.  In fact, pagans celebrated a festival involving a heroic supernatural figure that visits an evergreen tree and leaves gifts on December 25th long before Jesus was ever born.  From its early Babylonian roots, the celebration of the birth or "rebirth" of the sun god on December 25th came to be celebrated under various names all over the ancient world.  You see, the winter solstice occurs a few days before December 25th each year. The winter solstice is the day of the year when daylight is the shortest. In ancient times, December 25th was the day each year when the day started to become noticeably longer.  Thus it was fitting for the early pagans to designate December 25th as the date of the birth or the "rebirth" of the sun.

The truth is that thousands of years before there was a "Santa Claus", there was another supernatural figure who would supposedly visit a tree and leave gifts every December 25th.

His name was Nimrod. 

The celebration of December 25th goes all the way back to ancient Babylon.

According to ancient Babylonian tradition, Semiramis (who eventually became known as the goddess Astarte/Asherah/Ashtoreth/Isis/Ishtar/Easter in other pagan religions) claimed that after the untimely death of her son/husband Nimrod (yes she was married to her own son), a full grown evergreen tree sprang up overnight from a dead tree stump. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod would visit that evergreen tree and leave gifts each year on the anniversary of his birth, which just happened to be on December 25th.

This is the true origin of the Christmas tree.

From this original fable peddled by Semiramis (the "Queen of Heaven") came the tradition for pagans to go out to the holy "groves" and leave gifts for Nimrod (who later came to be worshipped as "Baal") at an evergreen tree.

Does that sound like a "Christian" holiday to you?

In fact, in his classic work "The Two Babylons", Alexander Hislop describes the Babylonian origins of Christmas on page 93.... 

"Long before the fourth century, and long before the Christian era itself, a festival was celebrated among the heathen, at that precise time of the year, in honor of the birth of the son of the Babylonian queen of heaven. It may fairly be presumed that, in order to conciliate the heathen, and to swell the number of the nominal adherents of Christianity, the Roman Church, giving it only the name of Christ adopted the same festival. This tendency on the part of Christians to meet Paganism halfway was very early developed; and we find Tertullian, even in his day, about the year 230, bitterly lamenting the inconsistency of the disciples of Christ in this respect, and contrasting it with the strict fidelity of the Pagans to their own superstition."

In fact, the name "Yule" is the Babylonian word for "infant" or "little child" as Hislop describes on pages 93 and 94 of his book....

"That Christmas was originally a Pagan festival is beyond all doubt. The time of the year, and the ceremonies, with which it is still celebrated, prove its origin. In Egypt, the son of Isis, the Egyptian title for the queen of heaven, was born at this very time, 'about the time of the winter solstice.' The very name by which Christmas is popularly known among us -- Yule-day -- proves at once its pagan and Babylonian origin. 'Yule' is the Chaldee name for an 'infant' or 'little child'; and as the 25th of December was called by our Pagan Anglo-Saxon ancestors, 'Yule-day,' or the 'Child's-day,' and the night that preceded it, 'Mother-night,' long before they came in contact with Christianity, that sufficiently proves its real character. Far and wide, in the realms of Paganism, was this birthday observed."

So when you offer "yuletide" greetings, you are actually acknowledging Nimrod's birthday.

The truth is that the pagan holiday of "Yule" has been celebrated by the pagans of northern Europe from late December through early January for centuries and centuries. Yule logs were traditionally lit throughout northern Europe to honor the pagan god Thor. The festival would continue until the Yule log burned out - which could take up to twelve days. This is where we get the so-called "12 days of Christmas".

In fact, Wiccans, neo-pagans and even many witches still celebrate Yule to this day. Many of them think it is incredibly funny when Christians use the pagan word Yule. Yule is one of the most important holidays for them.  The following excerpt was taken from a website on witchcraft:

So where did Christmas come from?

Well, the truth is that the word "Christmas" is not actually found anywhere in the entire Bible.

In fact, the word "Christmas" was not even invented until about a thousand years after Jesus left this earth.

The Catholic Encyclopedia even admits this....

"The word for Christmas in late Old English is Cristes Maesse, the Mass of Christ, first found in 1038."

But Jesus was not even born on December 25th.

The reality is that it would have simply been far too cold for shepherds to be out with their sheep at night in Israel on December 25th.

The vast majority of Christian scholars now acknowledge this.

So when was Jesus actually born?

Based on the information we have in the Scriptures, it appears that it is most likely that Jesus was born in the fall.  In particular, it seems most likely that Jesus was actually born during the Feast of Tabernacles as the video posted below demonstrates.... 

So how did December 25th come to be celebrated by Christians?

Well, by the time the Roman Empire legalized Christianity in the 4th century, most of the other religions in the empire were celebrating the birth of their gods on December 25th.

Leading up to December 25th in ancient Rome, a festival known as Saturnalia was one of the biggest celebrations of the year.  Saturnalia was a festival during which the Romans commemorated the dedication of the temple of their god Saturn. This holiday began on the 17th of December and it would last for an entire week until the 23rd of December.

Saturnalia was typically characterized by gift-giving, feasting, singing and lots and lots of debauchery.  The priests of Saturn would carry wreaths of evergreen boughs in procession throughout the pagan Roman temples.

Later on, the Romans also started holding a festival on December 25th called Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, which means "the birthday of the unconquered sun."  Basically it was a way for the empire to consolidate all of the December 25th "sun god" birthdays throughout the empire into one holiday.

In the year 350 A.D., Pope Julius I declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on December 25th from then on. There appears to be little doubt that Pope Julius was trying to make it as painless as possible for pagan Romans to convert to Catholicism.

However, the new holiday did not really take off with Christians at first.  The widespread celebration of December 25th by Christians did not really get going until 378.  It was apparently then dropped in 381 and then resurrected in 400.

But the truth is that December 25th was celebrated as the birthday of scores of pagan gods long before it was ever associated with Jesus.

As we discussed earlier, the celebration of December 25th goes all the way back to Nimrod (who eventually came to be worshipped as Baal).

Baal worship spread throughout the known world and provided the basis for all other pagan religions.  The following are just some of the pagan gods that had "birthdays" on December 25th....

When the Roman Catholics decided to make December 25th a "Christian holiday" in the fourth century, they simply adopted a long standing pagan holiday and kept most of the same pagan traditions.

For example, the ancient Babylonian "Christmas tree" became known as a symbol of fertility throughout the ancient world.  The pole, balls, and tinsel (phallus, testes, semen) represented various aspects of male fertility, while wreaths were always fashioned in a circle to represent female fertility.

In "The Two Babylons", Hislop describes some of the ancient traditions surrounding the Christmas tree on page 97....

"The Christmas tree, now so common among us, was equally common in Pagan Rome and Pagan Egypt. In Egypt that tree was the palm-tree; in Rome it was the fir; the palm tree denoting the Pagan messiah, as Baal-Tamar, the fir referring to him as Baal-Berith. The mother of Adonis, the sun-god and great mediatorial divinity, was mystically said to have been changed into a tree, and when in that state to have brought forth her divine son. If the mother was a tree, the son must have been recognized as the 'Man the branch.' And this entirely accounts for the putting of the Yule Log into the fire on Christmas Eve, and the appearance of the Christmas tree the next morning."

That sure puts a different spin on Christmas traditions, now doesn't it?

Most Christians don't even realize that God warned us about such things in the Bible. 

In Jeremiah 10:1-4, God warns us against putting up these decorated trees like the pagans were doing....

Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel. This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter."

The Puritans understood this.  It comes as a surprise to most Americans to learn that the Puritans once banned Christmas trees in many areas of the United States because they were considered so pagan. 

According to ancient Babylonian tradition, the springtime fertility festival of Ishtar (Easter) was a time when the "Queen of Heaven" was believed to become impregnated.  Nine months later the sun god would be "born" or "reborn". 

To the ancient Babylonians, these holiday trees came to be worshipped as the "Queen of Heaven", and gifts were brought to the "groves" of trees that had been grown in her honor and placed beneath them as offerings.

The Babylonians also used wreaths to represent the nativity of the sun, since they were objects that depicted the "womb" of the Earth mother.

Early Christians completely rejected these traditions.  In the 3rd century, Tertullian wrote the following about these pagan celebrations....

"On your day of gladness, we [Christians] neither cover our doorposts with wreaths, nor intrude upon the day with lamps.  At the call of public festivity, you consider it a proper thing to decorate your house like some new brothel.  We are accused of a lower sacrilege because
we do not celebrate along with you the holidays ..."

The truth is that the celebration of December 25th and most of the accompanying traditions have always been pagan.

But many Christians will protest and say that it is okay for them to celebrate December 25th because to them it is all about Jesus.

That was the same excuse that Aaron used when he and most of the rest of the people of Israel worshipped the golden calf while Moses was up on the mountain getting the Law of God.  Aaron actually said that the worship of the golden calf was being done to the Lord as we read in  Exodus 32:5....

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."

But we know how that turned out.

God was not pleased.

At all.

In fact, He was furious.

In the same way, God is not pleased when we celebrate pagan holidays and keep traditions that have been pagan for thousands of years.

One of the great mysteries in the world today is why so many freakishly bizarre creatures are being born to animals around the globe.  For example, last year an incredibly bizarre alien hybrid creature was born to a cow in Thailand.  It seems to have the head of a human, the limbs and tail of a cow and yet the color of a grey alien.  So what in the world is it, and why was it born to a cow?  Nobody seems to know.  But what is certain is that something is just not right with that creature.  Unfortunately the creature did not live or much more could have been potentially learned about it.  Could normal birth defects have produced such a bizarre creature?  That certainly seems unlikely.  So what happened?  At this point it is still a mystery. 

The truth is that lots of "weird births" have been popping up all over the globe.  Could aliens be involved? It is true that many of those who have been abducted by aliens have reported that they are obsessed with reproductive matters.  Could this weird hybrid creature be the result of some weird alien reproductive experiment gone horribly wrong?  Perhaps we will never know.

Most people have never even heard of the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone, but it is truly one of the greatest historical mysteries of North America.  If you tried to tell most history teachers that the Ten Commandments arrived in North America long before Christopher Columbus did, most of them would tell you that you are absolutely nuts.  But that is apparently exactly what happened.   The existence of the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone suggests that there is a whole lot more to the history of North America than we have been told.  So just what is the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone?  It is is a huge flat stone on the side of a mountain in New Mexico.  The mountain is known as Hidden Mountain, and it is located near Los Lunas, New Mexico - approximately 35 miles south of Albuquerque.  It is what is written on this massive stone that is so remarkable.  This very large stone actually has the Ten Commandments inscribed on it in ancient paleo-Hebrew script with a few letters of ancient Greek mixed in.

Paleo-Hebrew (which the Phoenecians also used) is a language that nobody in the world speaks anymore.  It is substantially different from the modern Hebrew that the Jewish world uses today.

So where in the world did these Ten Commandments written in paleo-Hebrew come from?

Back in 1996, Professor James D. Tabor of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte was able to interview Professor Frank Hibben about the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone. Hibben, who passed away in 2002, was a retired University of New Mexico archaeologist. According to Tabor's account, Hibben was absolutely "convinced that the inscription is ancient and thus authentic. He reports that he first saw the text in 1933. At the time it was covered with lichen and patination and was hardly visible. He was taken to the site by a guide who had seen it as a boy, back in the 1880s."

The scholars who have delved into this great mystery estimate that the stone is anywhere from 500 to 3000 years old. There are other native American inscriptions nearby that are estimated to be approximately 2000 years old.  Most who have studied the stone are almost certain that the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone pre-dates the arrival of Christopher Columbus in North America.

So how in the world is it possible that a copy of the Ten Commandments written in paleo-Hebrew showed up in North America long before Christopher Columbus "discovered" America?

One key to this great mystery may be the Phoenicians.

You see, the Phoenicians were the greatest seafaring people of the ancient world. The Phoenicians originally lived in what is known today as Lebanon, and they founded a vast array of settlements all around the Mediterranean during the course of their travels. In fact, they founded the great city of Carthage in North Africa and they also founded the great Etruscan civilization in Italy. It is historically documented that the Phoenicians got as far as Spain during their voyages, and many scholars now believe that the Phoenicians ultimately were able to cross the Atlantic and arrive in North America.

The reality is that if any ancient civilization would have been able to cross the Atlantic ocean, it would have been the great seafaring Phoenician people.

So who exactly were the Phoenicians? Well, the truth is that they were Israel's next door neighbor to the north.  Israel tended to war with all of the other nations surrounding it, but history tells us that they had good relations with the Phoenicians.  The great ancient cities of Tyre and Sidon were Phoenician cities.  In fact, Phoenicians greatly helped in the building of Solomon's Temple.  The relationship was so close that the Greek historian Herodotus (484-425 A.D.) actually referred to the Israelites as the "Phoenicians". It is also a fact that the ancient paleo-Hebrew language and the ancient Phoenician language were virtually identical.

That is why the inscription on the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone is often referred to as a "Phoenician" inscription.

It is also documented that the Phoenicians carried their religions with them wherever they traveled.  In fact, one scholar discovered that the Phoenicians actually brought the worship of the Lord God of Israel with them to Italy....

So did Phoenicians bring the Ten Commandments with them to North America?  Could it have been Israelites who were traveling with Phoenicians?  Nobody knows.  It is still a great mystery.  But it does appear that the most reasonable answer is that the greatest seafaring people by far of the ancient world, the Phoenicians, came to North America and brought the Ten Commandments with them.

When investigating this stone, many people begin to wonder if it has anything to do with Mormonism.  The truth is that it has absolutely nothing to do with Mormonism.  Instead it has everything to do with the scattering of the people of Israel - just like God said that He would do.

You see, the Los Lunas Decalogue stone is yet another clue about what happened to the ten lost tribes of Israel.  These ten lost tribes are known in the Scriptures as the northern kingdom of Israel or sometimes they are simply referred to as "Ephraim".  Ephraim was one of the most dominant tribes in the northern kingdom, and just as God said in His Word, He scattered Ephraim (the northern kingdom) over the face of the entire earth. The Los Lunas Decalogue stone is evidence that they may have even been scattered as far as North America.

Someone is leaving elaborate crop circles all over the globe. Some of these crop circles cover great areas and are absolutely stunning in their precision. So what is going on here? It is one of the great mysteries of the world. Are these crop circles just elaborate hoaxes? If so, then why does nobody ever catch people making them? Are these crop circles connected with UFOs? Are aliens creating them? That is what a growing number of UFO researchers now believe. But why would aliens choose to leave messages for us using crops? Why wouldn't they just communicate with us more directly? Sadly, at this point there are a whole lot more questions than there are answers. The phenomenon of crop circles is one of the great unexplained and unsolved mysteries of the world.

Who in the world has the time and resources to create a 300 foot long hummingbird picture in a barley field near the town of Wiltshire?

If this was done by a hoaxer, then how in the world could the hoaxer produce such an absolutely enormous work of art so quickly without anyone ever catching them?

It just does not make sense.

This particular crop circle was actually formed around a dew pond and that has left crop circle researchers scratching their heads.

Crop circle expert Karen Alexander had the following to say about this extraordinary crop circle....

"There are a myriad of theories about what these crop circles are trying to tell us, but at the moment we are no closer to knowing the truth it is incredibly exciting."

Other crop circles seem to be trying to communicate an even more elaborate message.

This next crop circle shows the alignment of the planets in our solar system on December 21, 2012. Many crop circle researchers believe that by creating this crop circle, aliens are trying to tell us something about the Mayan Calendar which ends on that date....

So do aliens actually know about the Mayan calendar?

Is something actually going to happen on that date in 2012?

In any event, someone put a lot of effort into creating that crop circle.

The next crop circle depicted below is even more bizarre.

It was also discovered near the town of Wiltshire - where the 300 foot long hummingbird crop circle was discovered.

This incredibly complicated crop circle, which mesaures 150 feet in diameter, is apparently a coded image that represents the first 10 digits of pi (3.141592654).

Obviously someone with a great deal of intelligence created this.....

So why are such elaborate crop circles being created?

Rather than subsiding, the number of crop circles has increased around the globe in recent years.

They are getting more elaborate and more complex.

So is somebody out there trying to tell us something?

If so, exactly what are they trying to tell us?

Almost everyone knows about the amazing pyramids in Egypt. We will have much, much more to say about those extraordinary structures in future posts. Many people out there even know about the massive pyramids that have been found in South America.
